Drink Water that looks like Gin&Tonic

All #artists have something in common. We have to be #drinking while #art working. No matter what, it will be something that we'll never finish. 😉

Summer is coming to an end, we've started preparing for back to school, but there's still time to prepare a sweetening drink for these last hot days. No alcohol, don't worry!

Just something that can accompany us in our paintings, so we don't abuse coffee or tea. It still has the bonus of helping us to keep the necessary fluid intake within the ideal numbers.

I found the recipes inside Elle.be Magazine, and have already tried all of them. My favorite is the last one. The ingredientes at first didn't convince me so much but I decided to give it a try. It's delicious.

You can also see the video here. (A video of a recipe always helps. Looks easier.)

ORANGE WATER

This cool drink has the advantage of being loaded with vitamin C, and the beautiful shades of color.

INGREDIENTS:

  • A blood orange;

  • A tangerine or clementine;

  • One lemon;

  • A lime;

  • A jug of filtered water. (BRITA is sponsoring these recipes, but mineral water will do.)

HOW TO MAKE:

Wash and cut citrus fruits into small slices.

Stack the slices on top of each other until they almost reach the edge from dark orange to green to create a "rainbow" effect.

Pour cold filtered water over it.

Cover the glass and store it in the fridge. The flavor will be more pronounced later.

PINK WATER

An ultra romantic recipe, this Rose Infused Water.

The taste of this elegant drink will be at least as sweet as it looks.

INGREDIENTS:

  • A handful of strawberries

  • Rose petals (bio - make sure the roses have not been treated with pesticides)

  • One lemon

  • A jug of filtered water

HOW TO MAKE:

Cut the lemon into slices.

Put all the ingredients in a jar.

Pour cold filtered water over it.

Store in the fridge for at least a few hours to get a nice pink color.

Serve directly or filter, mix beforehand.

(You can also substitute raspberries for strawberries.)

PURPLE WATER

If you want a slightly more sophisticated drink, garnish your water with flowers and edible herbs: serve this drink with a sprig of rosemary, or with blueberries and lavender.

INGREDIENTS

  • Half a cup of blueberries;

  • Some sprigs of lavender;

  • Filtered water.

HOW TO MAKE:

Pour the filtered water into a pitcher.

Add the blueberries and lavender.

Cover and let cool for half an hour in the refrigerator.

Add ice cubes and serve.

Tip: Use tall wine glasses. It's a bit like drinking a gin and tonic, isn't it? 😉
